How innovation change our society than politics
Art, freedom and creativity will change society
faster than politics----
We live in a fragmented and disconnected culture.
Politics are Changing, religion is struggling, technology is stressful, and the
economy is unfortunate. But the future is in the present as the plant lies in
the seed, and Art, Freedom, Creativity has the potential to realise this
future, a future of equality, diversity and unity.
Creativity is the source
of arts. Art is a powerful form of communication which has a unique ability to
transcend Cultural and Linguistic boundaries, it influences society by changing
opinions, instilling values and translating experiences across space and time.
Art affects the fundamental sense of self. Hence, Creative artists should
always be given the freedom to express their own ideas (in words, pictures, music, film) in what ever way they
wish. There should be no public or government restrictions on what they do. The
vitality of artistic creativity is necessary for the development of vibrant,
plural cultures.
However, In modern
societies, Politics seem to be an indispensable part in almost every country.
They aim at improving the Economic, Financial, Military strength of the
country. They come forward in support of public-welfare schemes such as Food
for all, House for all, Education for all, etc. It is the duty of the
Politicians to check Corruption, Nepotism, Crisis in Politics and Ethnic Problems.
Overall, They work to bring communal harmony. Sometimes, the scenario shows
that, Only Symbols are Elected Not Politicians and people are being
disappointed by our political leaders. They may devalue the public-moral and
erode the very essence of democracy.
On The Contrary, Artists
everywhere, and in all periods, have taken a role in standing up for Human Rights
and Human Dignity through their explorations of the human condition, particularly
in times of Unrest, Oppression and Chaos.
It is no wonder that Art becomes the last voice of Freedom; more trusted than Official Outlets/Politics.
To Illustrate-- Arunachalam Muruganantham; inventor of a low-cost sanitary
pad-making machine. Owing to his amazingly Creative Art and Freedom of expression,
he made a revolution in generating awareness about traditional unhygenic practices
around menstruation in rural India.
Admittedly, the human civilisation has approached this
sophisticated stage because many Creative Artist have bestowed us an enormous
number of significant ideas and opinions in the form of pictures, music or films.
For example, many creative artists like Leonardo Da Vinci, Pablo Picasso and
Michelangelo Buonarroti had first drawn the design of aeroplane; but, at that
time nobody could think that human can fly and everybody thought it was just
imagined of his mind. Although it required a long time, but it became true that
human now can fly. This example makes it clear that the work of artists can
lead to immense improvement of humankind. Therefore, many people think that
they should be free with their works for the advancement of the human being.
The responsibility of an
artist is to create artworks to cater for people's needs for aesthesis and
enjoyment. Some masterpieces by the world-renowned artists like Shakespeare,
the greatest poet in British literature, M.F Hussain, Modern Indian Painter Of
International Acclaim. The government should not give restrictions to artists.
On the contrary, their creativity and innovation should be encouraged.
On the other hand, there
are some vital reasons why the work of artists should be controlled in some
certain area. Firstly, some of the arts could hurt the communal or religious
sentiments of the people. For example, there have been many instances where
some painters have presented gods and goodness in a way which hurt the sentiments
of the Hindu community. Secondly, some artist can exhibit the idea which could
create frictions among the people. For instance, some Indian filmmakers have
included some social incidents which, if was not cut by the censor board could
create communal riots. Thus, limitations are required to avoid any harmful
effect on the society.
Art, Freedom and
Creativity cannot change society and society does not influence it either. It
is a reflection of the culture of society. You critically analyse it and reflect
on what's going on in the culture. If you look at Sudarshan Patnaik a sand
artist who created the world's biggest and Santa-face with the message World Peace
on the Puri beach of Odisha. It gives a good objective view of what is happening in the culture in everyday
life and in values in general. Either Where women’s voices are silenced,
Terrorism Riot etc. Hence, It is a form of expression which is often one of the
most available, even to the poorest individual: the tools required can be as
simple as a voice, a pencil or a humble drum.
As famous said, Where
There Is No Vision, There Is No Hope.
To conclude, each Politics has its own political
consequences, with merits or demerits. In modern democratic society Art, Creativity
and Freedom also have a Potential to change the society faster than politics
along with some detrimental imapct (some artists have tended to draw against
our cast, creed, and religion). Hence, the government should control the
activity, which can go directly against to our culture and religion. And this,
in long run, can make democracy possible.
